The King Will Make a Way is a new Christian novel for the last days saint.

An allegorical tale set in a nondescript historic village, The King Will Make a Way, is an end-times story of faith and perseverance. Gabe is the only one who knows the truth–the true King is still alive. Vulpine is determined to become king himself and will stop at nothing to force the villagers to give him their loyalty.

Will the servants of the true King fight to overthrow Vulpine? When the servants face imprisonment and death, will they switch loyalties? What will become of Gabe when Vulpine realizes he’s been teaching others about the King? Where is the true King?

Living through the daily uncertainty of plague, persecution and even martyrdom, the servants of the true King learn that there is one thing they can always be sure of–The King Will Make a Way.

It is my prayer that this book will challenge you and inspire you, not only to walk by faith but to give yourself wholly to following the King.

A Question

January 4, 2012 at 7:05 am (Uncategorized)

Someone wrote and asked me about the content of the book, asking about reading it to her 6- and 8-year-old children. The email address she left didn’t work when I replied, so here is part of my response. This book is written for teens and adults. Young children won’t be able to follow all of the plot without explanation.

It simply was not written for children, though I had in mind that it might be read aloud in front of younger children and was careful in the wording. There may not be oozing blood and the romance is more G rated than that of a Disney film, but there are a lot of sad events in the book. Many people die. It’s just not a children’s book. That being said, my children have read it and others have read it to their elementary school aged children. The choice is ultimately yours.

The book is a good tool for discussing the end times, the sovereignty of God, having faith when the world around you is fearful, marriage, service and dying to self to live for God.

New Reviews

April 4, 2011 at 6:30 am (Uncategorized)

I’ve added some new reviews to the reviews page. Here are a couple of the latest I’ve received. I would love to hear from you after you’ve read the book!

I believe the Lord has used you to speak out a message of surrender and trust in a way that is tangible and sweet.  His desire for us to trust him is for us, for our benefit – as you know and have experienced – not just because he said so.  Your story portrays the sweetness of that, and the beauty of knowing, really knowing him!  I have already told people about your book, and I plan on telling many, many more.  It is not just a good story.  It is a powerful message of how peaceful and full our lives can be in the midst of ANY trial no matter how difficult or painful, and how we do not have to fear.

*****

I am finally reading your book!!!!  I LOVE it!!!! I have been so inspired to spend time with the King!! You have been anointed for such a time as this to remind the body to sit still before the throne so we responsibly pass on the King’s message to those who are yet to find Him — can’t wait for my next moment to read!! Thanks for all the effort that went into crafting such a beautiful story.

Some people have asked if the book will arrive in time for Christmas. They seem to be arriving within a week’s time, or less even. I don’t think you’ll have a problem getting them in time to give as presents.

Reviewing My Proof

December 4, 2010 at 10:23 pm (Uncategorized)

I’m working on reading my proof copy of the book. I keep finding little things to change. I don’t know how I’ll ever feel it’s 100% ready. I think I’ll always be able to find something to change. In college I used to declare my papers done when I only changed three things. I knew I could always keep changing things, second guessing. Occasionally I do find a real mistake though which is frustrating after all the editing this book has been through. I want it to be perfect, but I’m realizing perfect may be a bit subjective. My goal is to approve all the book’s file this next week. About two days later it will be available for sale. Just like that!
